• Summary

  With the booming economic development in China, rural peasant culture is fast disappearing, giving way to such modern enticements as internet bars and gambling clubs. As a group of university students from rural areas, we are deeply concerned. Our goal is to salvage and restore traditional peasant culture through building a Culture Compound as a venue for entertainment and education. It will include a library, chess area, activity rooms and sports facilities, and will also house a variety of classes such as tai chi and chess.
