• Summary

  Death by accident is the leading cause of fatalities for children aged 0-14 in China, likely due to lack of proper safety education. This is especially vital for disabled children whose well-being is often entirely dependent on caregivers. Our project will focus on disabled children aged 6-14 (primarily deaf, mute and mentally handicapped). We will first assess each group’s understanding and level of safety awareness, then organize a Summer Safety Camp tailored according to each group’s specific needs. There will also be classes and a Safety Manual for parents and caregivers.
