• Summary

  Many villagers in the rural areas of Guangdong have little understanding of proper nutrition, leading to occurrences of many preventable diseases. Our volunteer teams will spend time living with these villagers to better understand their healthcare and nutrition lifestyle, and from that offer guidance on proper healthcare and nutrition (E.g. Proper food group combination for different meals, how to cook vegetables to maintain nutrients, foods to eat/avoid for diabetics or high blood pressure patients) Follow-up activities include phone calls to check up on their nutritional habits, sending them educational materials on nutrition, and so on.
