• Summary

  “Left behind” children refer to children left in rural villages while their parents work in distant cities. While telephone communication is convenient, it is costly and impersonal. Our goal is to bridge the distance between parents and their “left behind” children through online video streaming, which requires only an upfront initial investment of a single village computer, but a long- term , sustainable form of personal communication.
