• Challenge

  In a typical Chinese college campus, printing is a daily necessity. From class schedules and syllabi to lecture notes, essays and flyers, the use of paper is inevitable and the cost of printing often very high for the typical student. How do we relieve these students of their printing expenses?

• Solution

  Most printed paper is single-sided, and with Ad Prints, the unused backside can now be sold to companies and businesses as advertising. The cost of printing can then be covered by relevant ads on the back of each piece of printed paper, As Ad Prints stabilizes over time, 10% of ad space on each paper will be dedicated to Google China’s CSR movement, to commemorate original funding of the project and more importantly, to raise the level of social awareness in every student. Our initial location will be Harbin Institute of Technology, but as the project expands, campuses in Qingdao, Jiinan, Baoding, Beijing will also experience the joy and innovation of free, sponsored printing.
